Mission:
When on Risa...
Location: Pau'Aulani Guest Beach
Akeno arrived at the private beach owned by the resort. The blue bikini and see through white jacket she was wearing felt natural as she looked over the beautiful white sands and turquoise water. Most of the Wayfarer's crew were under orders to not use ranks or positions whilst on the holiday planet, however Akeno had organized a day of fun beach games for them all.
A few of the crew were already there, sunbathing on the beach and relaxing. Akeno carried a volleyball under one arm and cool bag over her other shoulder. Inside the cooler was an assortment of refreshments including sandwiches, picnic snacks and drinks.
She couldn't help but smile as she slipped off her shoes and proceeded to walk on the warm sand.
Luna iridescent pink and dark purple swimsuit sparkled in the sunlight as she longed directly on the sand, saving her towel for when she got wet after the games the Captain...Akeno on Risa... had arranged before everyone took off every which a way. Hearing footsteps, Luna opened one eye, and grinned excitedly as she saw Akeno headed to an open spot on the beach.
Raelyn stepped onto the beach and took a gaze around. She wasn't wearing swimwear of any kind, because she still had to get prepared for her expedition with the Doctor and anyone else who wanted to join. Needless to say, her attired consisted of dark grey athletic shorts and a lighter grey tank. She took a breath of the fresh air emitting from the Risian Ocean and moved herself towards the rest of the group who had already assembled there.
Mark joined the rest of the crew at the seaside. He was wearing a pair of dark shorts and a long sleeved white shirt. Sleeves were rolled up to battle the heat of the place. A pair of black sunglasses covered his eyes and shielded his eyes from the disturbing excess light.
Walking barefoot on the sand he spotted the rest of the crew and closed in.
"Shit, I knew this didn't look good on me... I should've just worn my Starfleet-issue swimsuit to the beach..."
"Shiro, for the last time: it's the beach, not a uniform inspection," Hiromi insisted. "Live a little; show some skin! If you get a guy or two to look your way, I'd say you're doing it just right!"
"So your idea of a day at the beach is dressing up like a cheap hooker and getting cat-called by strangers?" Mashiro pointed out. "If that's the case, I could've just ordered a Risan prostitute to my room and not have to worry about this playing out in public."
"That's-!" Hiromi took a moment to process Mashiro's remark and blushed a deep shade of scarlet. "That wasn't exactly the point I was trying to make, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it from time to time. It's just... I gotta be in the mood, you know?"
"I didn't, nor did I need to," Mashiro sighed as the two of them made their way down the small, secluded path leading out onto the resort's private beach.
"I mean, look at it this way," Hiromi attempted to explain. "Wearing a bikini out to the beach is like kind of like having confidence in your body; you're not worried about what others might say about how you look, you're making a statement about yourself, and your true self."
"Well, if that's how you want to put it, I'm not confident enough in my body," Mashiro stated bluntly. "I'm going back to the room to change out into my-!"
"Come on, Shiro, don't be such a dork!" Hiromi objected, grabbing Mashiro and leading her out onto the beach. "You're telling me you'd rather go back to the room after coming this far?"
"That is exactly what I am saying..." Mashiro grumbled.
At that moment, Rosaleen walked by the duo and smiled. She was wearing a deep blue wrap around her waist that accentuated her alabaster skin and red hair. It was also the only article of clothing that she was wearing. Her blue eyes danced with laughter and she wore her trademark impish smile. "Good morning. Tis a beautiful day." The Irish accent was unmistakable, with a hint of harmonic tones to her voice. Rosaleen carried herself as if she had no worries in the universe.
A few minutes after Luna saw Akeno, she caught sight of Rosaleen, and burst out laughing. Luna had had an inkling that Rosaleen would pull something like this. It was just her way. That was one of the reasons Luna loved her, she wasn't concerned with public opinion or what was considered the 'norm'. "Rosa, over here!" Luna waved her hand to get Rosaleen's attention.
Rosaleen had noticed Luna when she first arrived, but had been distracted by Hiromi and Mashiro. "If you will excuse me." She politely said, excusing herself to make her way to the spot that Luna was occupying. "May I?" Rosaleen asked, indicating a spot she wished to sit.
"Of course, Rosa," Luna caught Rosaleen's hand, and gently pulled her down beside her, brushing her lips across Rosaleen's cheek as she did so. "You look beautiful, Rosa. I kinda figured you'd pull something like this. You excited about the games Akeno has planned? Which one are you looking forward to the most?" Luna asked, snuggling closer to Rosaleen and subtly slipping her hand under Rosaleen's wrap to stroke her inner thigh. "I promised I'd take it at your pace, but I ALSO said I'd drop hints," Luna whispered, nibbling Rosaleen's ear.
Ileah found the private path to the beach, she had this one piece black with gold highlighted suit for a bit and this seemed as good a time to ring it into the light of day as any other. The gold headdress was shimmering silk bands woven together to give he impression as gold chains style but far more comfortable. The gold sandals with braiding wrapped gently up to boot height.
The gold and black intertwined weave of the sarong material wrapped around her waist and long on the right leg as she strode to the sand. Over the shoulder was the black satchel with her towel and other beach things and she wore the large style of sunglasses of a classic actress or person trying to be chique would have worn. The replicator suggested it to hide the Heads up display that 'Spooky' insist she use to aid her in any 'sports' she would play. The regular pair were also in the bag if the "spooky pair' became to annoying.
"Who's up for some volleyball?" Akeno announced loudly as she skipped over to the volleyball net which had been set up on the soft white sand. "Two teams! Team Akeno and team Shiro!" She said with a smirk. "Pick your team!"
Mashiro glanced over at Hiromi. "I don't remember agreeing to this," she whispered.
"Just go with it," Hiromi grinned, patting Mashiro's back in a gesture of confidence. "Just remember: any opportunity you can get to impress this Akeno girl might put you one step closer to a command referral."
"Well, since you put it that way... Mashiro sighed as she began to follow Akeno over to volleyball pitch.
"I'll get the other one later," Luna whispered, taking a quick last lick before standing and offering Rosaleen her hand. "I wonder how they're gonna pick teams, half and half, or calling names? What do you think?" Luna asked, taking a look around at her fellow crewmates.
"Who wants to be on my team?!" Akeno asked loudly with a cheeky smile. "Team Akeno Assemble!"
Akeno noticed that the air warmed just a bit...not much, but it was perceptible. "I would love to be on your team." Rosaleen stated as she moved around Akeno to face her. "If you will have me, that is."
Sarong on top of the satchel Ileah came to the right shoulder side and with a wide smile asked. You think you can use me Akeno?" The obvious tease in her tone.
"I have heard of this Volleyball when I was at the academy, though I did not enjoy the indoor version they had as a physical education choice." Pulling down and looking over the edge of her sunglasses. "I do hope the beach versions is more 'stimulating."
"Oh it is," Akeno replied with a slight smirk. "But apart from a hard floor to play on we get soft white sand!" she added. "This means we can do some insane diving to save the ball!" she grinned. "Welcome to the team!"
"SO that is where the term 'Digging' for a return came from?" Adjusting her glasses back in place and checking the thigh cut of the suit and some small tugs to get it to lay well for the upcoming fun. "I think this will very educational." No one really saw the smirk.
"Loser buys dinner. I'll be on Shiro's team!" Luna whispered in Rosaleen's ear before walking to Shiro.
Mashiro twitched ever so slightly at the Klingon referring to her by her much-detested nickname- a motion that wasn't lost on Hiromi.
"Lighten up a little, Shiro!" she laughed, patting Mashiro playfully on the back. "When else are you going to get the opportunity to play volleyball with a Klingon?"
"I suppose you have a point..." Mashiro muttered.
Akeno smirked, she slipped off the white see through shirt and threw it over to the pile of stuff she had brought with her. "Come on then! Lets get our game on!" she said.
Luna folded her gear, then trotted over to the volleyball pit, dancing on her toes as she started to warm up, stealing glances at Rosaleen as she did so. "Dang, it's gonna be hard to concentrate with her looking so hot," Luna thought, feeling her being tingle with naughty thoughts. When she felt Rosaleen might be looking, she over exaggerated her movements in sexy ways.
She thought for a moment. The first team consisted of Akeno and a few other members from the Wayfarer. The other team consisted of less people she knew. At least as of now. Communication would be easier on Akeno's team because she already knew most of them. Raelyn moved over to the Captain. "Need a strong Chief of Security on your team?" she chuckled.
"It would depend on how well you can secure us the points needed for victory." Ileah remarked in her usually sultry tone of speaking in social circles. "Security is good for that kind of thing...right." She smiled brightly behind her sunglasses.
"Its all for good fun!" Akeno replied with a grin.
The volleyball pit was full of life with many of the officers busy preparing for a game.
"Mind if I join?" he asked the present ones. "I'm no good, and I probably should play the judge but if any of you need two extra hands, I'm here" he said smiling.
"More the merrier. Plus Shiro-Chan needs some more on her team" Akeno replied.
To be continued...
