Personality & Traits
| Personal History | Raelyn was born in 2346 in Seattle, Washington on Earth. She spent most of her early life raised in a restoration shop meant for restoring antique automobiles that her parents owned alongside being Starfleet Officers. However, her and her brother’s parents were gone a decent amount, and especially during the Federation-Cardassian War. In 2358, her and her brother got a message from the USS Berlin that their parents had been killed in battle. From then on, her and her brother, Alex, were on their own. She began to act out as well, getting into fights often. In fact, her grades in her highschool years were less than desirable, and she barely scraped by to graduate. In late 2363 she applied to Starfleet Academy, knowing there wasn’t much of a chance to get accepted. However, a few months later in 2364, she was unexpectedly approved into the academy for Security and Tactical Studies. During her years at SFA, she still got reprimanded occasionally, but began to become more disciplined. She graduated in 2368 at the rank of Ensign. Her first assignment was a rather prestigious one, the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D as a security officer. She was present during several of the flagship’s famous missions even though she served there for two years. She ended up serving with distinction for those two years. If she had remained on the Enterprise, she would have likely been present during the Battle of Veridian III. Instead, she was recommended for a promotion to the USS Sovereign as the Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer. Raelyn accepted, and was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. The Sovereign was in various states of construction and refit during her first few years on the Sovereign Class ship. After all, it was a prototype. She again served with distinction for the next few years until late 2373, when the Sovereign was engaging a group of Dominion battleships during the early days of the war. Her superior, Lieutenant Commander Rollins, was the Security chief of the Sovereign. The Sovereign was prevailing until Dominion reinforcements arrived and attacked the ship, which killed many officers, leaving others critically injured. Raelyn was forced to take the Tactical station after Rollins died. Fortunately, the crew prevailed, thanks to her quick reaction time on the weapons. Shortly after, she was promoted to Lieutenant, and given Rollins’ previous role. She was the Chief of Security until 2376 when [redacted]. Because of the extent of the damage, the Sovereign returned to Earth, to be repaired. It was then that Raelyn requested a transfer to the USS Wayfarer as the Chief Security/Tactical Officer, and Second Officer. However, when she made the transfer request, she found out that she was going to be demoted because of what happened on a classified mission that the Sovereign was taking part of. Because of this, she was a Junior Security Officer on the Wayfarer, until she was promoted in position to Chief Security/Tactical Officer. To be continued.... |
