Mission: Deep Space Nine
Location: Deck 3 - Commander Sito's Quarters
Timeline: MD-01

"Computer, lock the door and put the incoming call on a secure line". Sito sat at his desk and tapped in his authorisation code, the UFP icon changed to the face of Admiral Nechayev.

"It's good to see you again Admiral, it's been too long" Sito smiled at his superior.

"It has been Commander. I was intrigued when I heard you had contacted my office. What can I do for you? Another favour?" The blonde haired female Admiral asked.

"How did you guess Admiral" Sito chuckled, "we have a new Intelligence Officer on board the Wayfarer, Lt. Ithi Deritan. I have looked at her file and lot of information has been redacted? I would like a copy of the unedited file? He asked.

"Why is that Commander? Is she someone else you have made an enemy of? Not that there are many of them left now?" The Admiral looked at Sito sternly, waiting for a reply.

"No sir. The Lieutenants conduct has been called into question. Several members of the bridge crew claim she has a carefree attitude and has a disregard for the chain of command? I haven't meet her yet but wanted your opinion of her? And her file?"

"I'm sorry Commander, her file is need to know and since you no longer work for Starfleet Intelligence you don't need to know BUT your crew are correct, to a degree." The Admiral went on to explain, "while she can be hot-headed at times she is good at her job. If she wasn't, she wouldn't of been posted to the Wayfarer?".

"Admiral, my responsibility is to the Ship. I do not want a loose cannon on my ship" he started to argue.

"Your ship Commander Sito?" Her voice changed to a more serious tone. "Don't you mean Captain Meezo's ship? Remember Commander, you lost your chance to be Captain after the incident on Cardassia. You were lucky not to be thrown in the brig for what you did there during the war." There was a momentary silence. "If there are any issues with Lt. Deritan, Captain Meezo will report it. Do you understand me Commander?" She looked him in the eye.

Yes sir, completely" he said, surrendering his argument.

Admiral Nechayev nodded. "Nechayev out"

The screen went blank and Sito leaned back in his chair pondering his next move.
