Yellow Alert!

Mission: The Avenger
Location: USS Wayfarer Bridge
Timeline: Present

"Sir, Tango flight report grid 172 is clear, moving to grid 173".

"Thank you Ensign". Commander Sito stood up from the Captains chair and walked towards the CONN. He scratched his chin, wondering whether it was time to shave off his greying beard.

"Sir!" the Ensign called out in panic "Weapons fire reported on the Avenger!"

"Go to Yellow Alert!" the XO answered with authority. "Get me the Avenger on the horn". The lighting flashed and the audible called for Yellow Alert. The men and women of the Wayfarer answered her call like a well oiled machine and ran to their roster stations.

"No response sir" she looked at the First Officer for guidance.

"Wayfarer to Meezo, come in?......" No response. "Wayfarer to Maddox report?....." No response. "Bridge to Transporter Room One, do you have active life signs on the Away Team?"

=/\= Yes sir, all are accounted for. The Captain and Commander Maddox are on the bridge, Lt. Paxton is in Main Engineering. =/\=

Sito cut the Transporter Chief off, "Wayfarer to Lt. Paxton"

=/\= Good ahead Commander =/\=

"We have a report of weapon fire on the Avenger, the Captain and Commander Maddox are not responding to hails".

=/\= That's strange sir, we just spoke Captain Dante on the bridge and all seemed fine? =/\=

"Head up there with all due haste Lieutenant and check the Captain and Maddox are ok. Report back to me once their safety is confirmed. Wayfarer out!"

Sito turned to the Ensign Rizola at tactical. "Ensign, recall Tango flight and set up a closer patrol route and mute that damn warning alarm!" The audible fell silent but the lights still flashed to remind everyone of the current situation.

Sito sat back down in the Captains chair and gripped the arms tightly. tapping his fingers waiting for Lt. Paxtons report.
