Sickness and Tummy Troubles

Mission: The Captains Child
Location: Akeno's Quarters

Akeno rose that morning not feeling too great. It almost felt like space sickness crossed with being bloated. She hadn't eaten a big meal the previous night, but she felt like she stuffed herself. There wasn't any need for breakfast either as she already felt full.

She made her way slowly towards the dresser and pulled out a fresh uniform to take into the bathroom with her. "Maybe a shower might help..." she muttered to herself as she stepped into the pearl white room. It didn't at all, the moment her eyes even looked at the lavatory, she felt a strange sensation growing in her stomach.

It was racing upwards like a rocket. "Oh..." she said, her hand instantly clasping to her mouth. "I think I'm going to..."

A few minutes later, she had retreated back to her living area. Hoping that this was just a strange anomoly.

"Oh... I don't feel so great..." she said. She put it down to simply not sleeping well. She had been stressing out about what to do with the Colonel.

She stopped as she was pulling on her uniform. "Nope, need to..." she didn't get chance to finish that sentence before she found herself vomiting into the toilet bowl in her bathroom.

"Computer..." she managed to stutter. "Remind me. Do we have a Chief Medical Officer on board?" she asked.

"Negative. That position is currently unfilled" the computer responded.

"Great..." she said as she continued to throw up. "Send a message to Lieutenant Ileah. Let her know that I may be late for..." she vomited again "...duty today"

"What the hell is wrong with me?!" Akeno exclaimed as she sat crossed legged on the bathroom floor, her head resting against the seat. She had no idea what was going on. "Did I eat something strange?" she asked herself as she ran a hand over her stomach.

She still felt bloated and swollen. Finally coming to a stand she lifted up her shirt to look at her belly. It looked a little bloated just like she had eaten a large meal. "Strange" she said as she rotated around to look at each side and then at the front.

"It looks a little bloated. Maybe something didn't agree with me last night" she told herself outloud running a hand over her belly. "Its not as soft as it usually is either" she commented. "I should probably go and see what sickbay says"

Suddenly the Wayfarer began shaking knocking Akeno off of her balance. She stumbled but managed to save herself from falling. Tapping her comm badge she got no response from the bridge, it seemed as if the comm was out. "I need to get to the bridge. I'll worry about this later" she muttered to herself as she zipped up her uniform tunic and proceeded towards the door of her quarters.
