"Really Admiral you are expecting a lot with my new assignment." Ileah said with little attempt at the annoyance she was feeling as she stood in front of the Wall Monitor in a chat with her Former Superior Officer. "I am glad you accepted my transfer..."
"You were very direct in your getting reassigned." The Older man in his fifties barked back. "I will have many duties still despite the War being over, we need to work on rebuilding the Federation Alliances."
"Yes Sir and I agree with you." She continued before he could continue. "But being Arm Candy for all intent and purpose, not even really acknowledging that I was your Personal Yeoman and thus privy to all things was a good move but I do not wish to be so..." She fought for the words. "Ground breaking, I did my time with both Romulans and enjoyed my time with the Klingon Empire; still, I have need to roam around rather than sit in Astrometrics with every assets in view and playing with people's lives."
"We did not play, we were at War and you were a very good assistant in keeping all the Padds clear and me updated." The Admiral told her. "You went around my back and..." He shook his head. "Being partly working for the Ship's Intelligence Office just because you have the clearance level to be there. That is a waste of your."
"I was given an option and I created my own adaptation of it." Ileah replied. "The paperwork was pushed through and all signed on the dotted line." She mused.
"ON my Letter Head." He cut her off.
"But Intelligence Division bought it off and made the slots work if you will note. I am coming aboard with a crew and Command Change. I admit my experiance might have gotten me Captain's Yeoman but a request from your Office did seal the deal, thank you Sir."
"I did not like the request, nor did I sign it off until after the fact when I had little choice." He was getting flustered, he had a temper and Ileah was among the few that not only lived with it but had become quite adept at knowing about the severity of it. "You used my office for your own gains."
"You did not accept when I asked you directly."
"You could have made Lieutenant Commander if you stuck around this Office you are an El-Tee as it stands which is very high for a Yeoman."
"I have never been just a Yeoman and you are aware of that; with all due respects , and liked having me continue under you Sir."
"Only Intel could have Trumped my veto of the Transfer; they wanted you to work for them on that ship as well as the Captain directly." He lean forward. "What I want to know is why?"
"Classified information." A voice chimed in off screen. "She had the experience and Clearances to do the job and the rest is classified."
"I am sorry Admiral, but when The Official Intel Chief of the Wayfarer speaks and is involved in our conversation I think it best to sign off." Ileah smiled as she cut the connection.
"He won't be directed here again." The voice behind her said as she sigh.
"Yes, I know basic methods, he was asking the wrong questions." Ileah turned to the figure behind the Console. Looking to be a handsome 38 the he spoke with a British accent with it dulled from not being always forced to speak in the Queen's Dialect. "He did keep me from getting into trouble."
Looking at one persona; Justin Case, was like taking in one who is both Rogue and Gentleman with the Higher society tossed in for effect. His black hair and blue eyes could pierce if a fancy was taken for it.
"Too many Klingon and Other habits." Case interjected.
"Look Spooky, I liked the man and right after the end he took in one very Tainted Deltan female and while he acted my being with him was more Arm Candy than my real job I did a very skilled job at keeping him up to dat e from those morons that called themselves Analysist. After the war all the good ones were still a bit amped from the harder traits and took assignments with Clean Up Operations."
"Why didn't you; working with the Romulans after the War would have been a boon?
"They are too self-serving and frankly worst than humans in the 'any way' to climb the ladder and he females even had a type of 'system' as to which of the superiors might be of help with some subtle Female influences." Ileah said. "They suspected me of sleeping my way to the position; literally, and not even accounting I had brains equivalent to them."
"SO how wrong were they?"
"Cut it Spooky getting a little too big for your place in all this, I do not answer to you but the Captain and SFI should you get too much curiosity in the whole program we are doing on Wayfarer." She warned. "You are for Intel Analysis, you were made for that kind of job so stick to that and consider 'Me' not to be analyzed."
"Understood." Was the simple reply. " Do you want an analysis of those on the station so you can check with them and do that 'Yeoman' thing?"
"I am The Captain's Yeoman, might be a good idea for me to have something to pass along."
"It will be in your PADD."
"Good Night Spooky." Ileah said as she head for the door.
