New orders

Location: Wayfarer
Timeline: Just after departure from Starbase 57

Dampfish was headed back to Tactical on deck 6 when his combadge chirped. =Dampfish, new sealed orders have arrived for Lieutenant Commander Au'rel. Please provide an escort from his quarters to Transporter Room.= "Aye," he replied, tapping the combadge.

"Computer, locate Au'rel." =Lieutenant Commander Au'rel is in his quarters.= "Basil to Ensign Lee. Meet me at Au'rel's quarters; I am on my way there now. We will provide escort to Transporter Room One."

Lee moves to the position and tries to go off his memory of the ship layout. He moves quickly but not in a jog. Although with how he's moderately long legged, he's outside the post where he was suppose to meet up with Basil. He then goes to parade rest outside the quarters.

As Au'rel's door came into view, Dampfish noticed the new ensign standing at attention. Rather large bloke, thought Dampfish; if we were side by side, I would look like a stick standing next to a wall.

"Relax, Ensign Lee. I am Basil Dampfish, fresh from the starbase. I am certain we'll have time to talk later, after this assignment. Ready for this?" Lee nodded assent.

{Au'rel's quarters}

The doorbell chimed. "Enter," said Au'rel, as the door whooshed aside.

The hulking human stands and waits for Basil to enter first as typical drill and ceremony protocol, unless ordered otherwise. Lee just stands there at parade rest.

Basil could see that Au'rel had a duffel bag packed, but the rest of his quarters remained. "They'll ship later," said Au'rel. "Let's go."

{Transporter room}

Lee follows along with staying behind the two through the corridor and acts in a professional manner. Once in the transporter room, Lee takes position right there by the door leading out of it.

"One to beam out to the runabout," said Au'rel, stepping onto the pad. The ensign nodded and slid the controllers.
