Mission: Nothing To Fear...
Location: USS Endeavour / USS Wayfarer
Timeline: Day 2 - Follows on from Between a rock and a hard place

{Bridge of the USS Endeavour}

"Lieutenant Jackson, ETA to the signal buoy?"

"Should be 5 minutes Captain, at our current speed." The CONN officer replied.

"Has there been any response to our hails?"

"No sir" Ensign T'Pal commented from the Ops position.

"Commander Styles, prepare an armed boarding party, two teams, one to the bridge and the latter to engineering. We don't know what's happening on that ship and I want us prepared."

"SIR! Picking up numerous escape pods on sensors" T'Pal shouted with excitement.

Captain Green and Commander Styles stood up. "Go to yellow alert and have sickbay on standby to receive injured people" the Captain ordered. "On screen!"

"My god" asked the XO, "what happened to them?" Some pods showed signs of damage, type unknown.

"Any sign of the Wayfarer?" called the Captain.

"Just coming into sensor range now Captain. Transponder is active but it looks like she's drifting sir" T'Pal answered.

"CONN, organise a search pattern and pick up all the pods we can as quick as we can. We don't know how long they have been out there."

"Aye aye sir!" Jackson's fingers darted over this console like a pianist playing a piano. "Pattern laid in, executing now sir"

The Endeavour moved with grace through the blackness of space, the nebula class ship, a survivor of the Dominion War, flew on with all due haste.

Time passed quickly as the well oiled machine of the Endeavour crew retrieved all the escape pods, medical personnel attended any injuries or ailments. Commander Styles spoke to the Wayfarers senior bridge crew and reported back to his bridge.

"Well sir, from what we can tell, Lord Chaos attacked the crew, Captain Meezo was severely hurt and being treated in sickbay he is currently in a coma. Commander Sito ordered the crew to abandon ship and ordered the destruction of the Wayfarer. Whether he did that of his own free will or was under the control of Lord Chaos we do not now as this time. Two crew members are unaccounted for, Lt. Ithi Deritan and Commander Sito."

"Thank you Commander" Captain Green responded.

"Sir, the Wayfarer coming up on our port bow"

"On screen" the Captain called.

The Wayfarer was drifting in space, the exterior light, flickering.

"Scan the ship for life signs?"

"One sir" there was a pause "there is some interference but scans read as Romulan?"

"Get a tractor beam on that ship now. Bridge to transporter room one, we will beam you 50mtr from the location of the life sign, set phasers to stun."

{USS Wayfarer}

The beam of light formed in the corridor as the security team appeared, phasers in hands, near the recorded life sign. They cautiously moved along the sides of the corridor. Styles gave a silent hand signal and the team prepared to move. Styles counted backwards via his fingers [3, 2, 1, GO GO GO!]

Three security guards burst into the office, phasers drawn, to see a red headed woman, sitting at his desk with a PADD in hand.

Commander Styles walked in. "Lt. Deritan I persume?"
