Mission: The Avenger
Location: USS Wayfarer

:ON:

The Wayfarer emerged from the Rolon Nebula, having successfully transversed the spacial anomaly. Incredibly, the Avenger was still in tow. Mike ordered that a warning beacon be placed on the outskirts of the nebula, to warn potential ships who may enter the nebula of the danger that lay within. He suspected even the Cardassians wouldn’t relish being transported over 200 years into the past, despite the temptation to change things for their advantage.

The distance from the nebula to Deep Space Nine was mercifully short, and it made the journey uncomplicated and swift. Mike ordered that the crew take a couple of days R&R onboard the station while the Avenger’s crew disembarked and the NX-09 was handed over to Starfleet Intelligence.

Mike sat in the command chair looking forward as the Cardassian-built space station came into view. “Ensign Reynolds, signal operations and request docking clearance for one of the upper pylons.”

A moment later the young Ensign spoke, “Docking clearance has been granted, sir. DS9 look forward to welcoming us to the station.”

“Alright, initiate docking sequence, Ensign.“ The Captain nodded with a tired smile. His uniform was torn and stretched in places, and had phaser residue marks in others. He would need to have a sonic shower and get changed before he left the ship.

“Docking sequence initiated, sir.” Reynolds called out. A short while later the ship juddered slightly, and she spoke again, “Docking complete, Captain.”


:OFF:

A couple of days here at DS9 before we head off on our next mission, so make the most of it! For reference, please remember that the in-universe date is 2376, so its a year after DS9’s final season.
