Mission: The Avenger
Location: Tango Flight (Razor Fighters)
Timeline: Current

{Tango 1}

Threisa steered the Razor fighter into another sweeping arc, trying her best to keep a visual on her wingman to hold formation. She was fresh out of flight school, and this tasking order was her first actual 'real' flight. As such, she was just trying to keep from screwing up too badly.

{Tango 2}

"Tango One, Tango Two...tighten it up, ok?" Blake glanced out the cockpit window at the fighter trailing off to his right. She was definitely green, but this mission, while in an odd location, should be relatively easy and safe. They were not expecting any surprises.

But then again, there was a reason that they were patrolling the void.

"Working on it sir. Sorry"

Blake smiled as he remembered his first mission. He had almost taken his wingman's tail off. Twice.

"You are doing fine, two. Just take it easy. Slow movements, just like basic ops class. There is nothing to get excited over out here." Blake held his craft straight and steady to allow Threisa to slide back into position. 'At least you hope there isn't' he thought but did not add. The young pilot had enough on her mind already. He didn't want her to start looking for ghosts.

"AC Op, Tango Flight. Make your heading 283 Mark 7. We are getting some anomalous reading out about eighty thousand kilometers. Most likely associated with the nebula, but it bears checking. Alert One is on Hot Pad, and we are working on a tasking order for the Talon to help out as well."

{USS Avenger}

"OC Op to O'Donnell."

Rosaleen had just made it to the Avenger's hangerdeck, but decided to stay isolated from the ships native crew to answer the Aerospace Control Operator. "O'Donnell, go ahead with traffic."

"The radiation in this region is playing hell with the sensors. I'd like to get the Talon out there to extend our functional range. Well, at least in the area that it is operating in."

Rosaleen thought it over for a moment before deciding not to contact the Captain. "Approved. Just keep me updated please."

"Will do, Lieutenant. TAC OPS out."

{USS Wayfarer}

The controller quickly relayed the command to the Talon Scout crew to launch immediately and take up station with Tango Flight. As the controller completed his task, he couldn't help but think how rapidly things were getting complicated. And complicated was never good.
