Accounting in Sickbay

Mark stormed in with his usual fast pace and a concerned look. Molly, the head nurse sensed his tension and closed in to him.

"All good Doc? May I help you with anything?"

Mark laid his data PaDD on the nearest biobed and sighted "We're about to depart for uncharted space and we need to make sure we have all we need"

Molly nodded calmly "We do, we are just finishing the double check of the inventory with the list we provided to Starfleet for replenishments"

Doctor Johnson nodded, unconvinced."Beyond the edge of known space, there are no nearby starbases, no emergency resupply convoys, and no second chances." he explained the patient nurse "Exploration is built on preparation.".

Molly smiled "Do you want to go over the inventory with me?" she asked, knowing well how to deal with her favorite Chief Medical Officer.

A relief sign appeared on Mark as he heard the proposal of Molly. "That sound like a great idea, we can go faster if you check the inventory and I check the requested supplies to Starfleet Command, like in accounting...double entry book-keeping".

The nurse didn't fully understand his comment but was finally happy to have calmed him and his apprehension about not being ready. "Sit here" she motioned "I'll get the lists" and she disappeared into the CMO office to return with a couple of lists as well as two tea mugs to help them in the task.
