Interview for a replacement

Location: Deck 11 - CEO Office.

OFF:
With Lieutenant Tyvork removed of all duty, Acting Captain Perkins begins interviews for a new Chief Engineering Officer after the ship went into hiding within the Astroid field.

OCC: Tyvork had decided to leave the simm.

ON:

Zoey sat in the Lieutenant Tyvork's chair in his office she had spent the most of her time interview the whole of the engineering department for someone who could fix this mess that Tyvork left jumping the ship into another Universe with his calculations. Last to interview was Ensign th'Vhela who's role was Matter/Energy Systems Specialist. The door had reminded open until the next interview was insession.

"Ensign th'Vhela please!" Shouted Zoey.

Lewis was outside and was the only outside he only had been on the ship for a couple of weeks and worked under Tyvork he was was a Saint to all who worked for him. When Commander Perkins shouted his name he stopped leaning against the wall outside of the office and entered. Upon entering he used the door controls to close the door.

Zoey had her eyes on the screen when she heard the doors shut she smiled and motioned to the chair across the desk. "I'll be with you in a moment." She said then quickly looked back at the screen that had the personal file of Lewis th'Vhela on it. But this was a test to see if he was patient.

Lewis sat down but didn't say anything he just withdrew a PADD from the inside of his Jacket and continued on with his work.

Zoey watched him from the corner of her eye as he worked away. Eyes fixed on the screen Zoey asked."What are you working on?"

Lewis's eyes peered over his PADD to see if he could make eye contact but she didn't look at him. "Just some new mixtures of anti-matter... Doubt acting Chief O'Mooney will allow it... Hell," I don't know why I'm doing this anyway."

"And Lieutenant O'Mooney wonders why I'm interview for a chief." Zoey turned around to fix her eyes on Lewis. "May I see? I may not be an engineer but I'm a pilot and I kinda know."

Lewis smiled and handed her the PADD. "It's really nothing just something to speed up Warp travel."

Zoey grabbed the PADD and looked through it. "Where do you see yourself in 10 years, Ensign?" She asked

"Hopefully not stuck in this universe haha... I'm hoping I would be designing a new generation of Warp Cores back on Earth."

Zoey didn't laugh she just smiled. "This is good work Ensign the way this is made you could be leading the team." She said pricing to hand the PADD back.

Lewis took the PADD and placed it back into his Jacket. "Thank you sir." He said

"What do you consider to be your biggest area of challenge?" Zoey asked.

"Not going to lie but I have some small Anxiety attacks... I had some joining Starfleet and some just getting into this Office... My friends help me and I meditate." Lewis said while he sat himself straight up.

Zoey lent forward on the Desk with her hands locked together. "Are you a goal-oriented person?" She asked him.

"Everyone has Goals Commander Perkins I'm sure you do... I'm aiming for love and hope that one day I can settle down with the right guy or girl." Lewis said still sitting up straight.

"Would you like to be the Chief engineer Lewis?"

"Well... With my rank and lack of experience I would like to but today I don't think I'll make it just because I have no experience but I tested myself by attending your interview." Lewis said blushing in the checks when she called him by his first name.

"As of this stardate, I am field commission you to the rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and granting you command of engineering on the Starship Wayfarer... Unless you don't want it." Zoey smiled as she knew she chooses the right person experience didn't mean anything it's the skills that mattered and even bring his work in with him won himself extra points just for doing his work. Most Ensigns after the war became lazy always late and never did the work in front of a Commander like the last person did.

"Thank you, sir, I will begin to re-shuffle my team," Lewis said smiling and very proud of himself he just made himself a Lieutenant Junior Grade and a Chief Engineer something his mother in the Andorian Inpeir guard could never do.

"Slow down Lieutenant... Due to Tyvork we're in another universe where the War is still on and we're losing we're hiding in an asteroid field until *you* can get us home before our quantum flux go's and it becomes hard to return to our time."

"Than i will get straight onto that sir. Anything else?" Lewis asked

Zoey got up from Lewis seat. "Nope and remember this is your office now," Zoey said walking towards the door and stepping outwards and back towards the Captain Sprague ready-room.

Lewis sat down in Tyvork seat behind the desk and began to get to work it didn't feel right without Tyvork being in duty but Lewis had new hope in himself as the new Chief Engineering Officer.
