"Computer, start recording, personal log:

It has been 3 weeks since I have spoken to Admiral Jellico concerning the incident in the Donatu System. He informed me the missing Starfleet Intelligence Analyst had been safely returned to Star Base 27 in the Rigel Sector. I was informed that the Admiralty were impressed with my performance review and promoted me to Commander.

The downside to this is that I have been reassigned and will be leaving the Mjolnir after nearly 6 years. My new posting is on the USS Wayfarer as First Officer. She is an Intrepid class ship, fresh out of the box according to the status reports the Admiral sent me. Also in these reports were assigned crew evaluations. The Admiral believed it would be beneficial to know who's who on the ship? Knowing Jellico as I do, there is a hidden meaning in this?

We will rendezvous with the USS Saladin at 08:00 tomorrow, who will then return me to Earth. It will be a chance to catch up with my academy class mate Julia Rivera, the ships XO while on board. It has been at least 6 months since Talia and I last saw her.

I spoke to Talia earlier and she is excited at the prospect of me returning home to Earth. She has promised to cook me good old "bangers and mash". She knows the way to a mans heart is through his stomach, that's one of the reasons I love her. I'll enjoy spending a few days with her before reporting in with the Wayfarer. Fingers crossed it's incident free and Admiral Jellico and SI let me enjoy myself.
