Shore leave on DS9 has been an all around success.

I finally managed to convince Scott to get that drink with me, and I don’t think he regrets it. I introduced him to a long time friend, Ehtri, at Quarks and they hit it off rather well. I excused myself early so that they could spend some time together...I can’t wait to catch up with Scott and get all of the details from the rest of the night! Before I left though, he shared some great stories of pranks he pulled while at the academy. I definitely see some fun times in our future based on that. I know he said he only pranks close friends, but I wonder if I can one day convince him to go in with me on a prank against the XO….

The night after that started out a bit rough. Captain Mog is here on the station and is apparently still seeking revenge for that jello prank that I pulled back when we were living on the USS Lincoln. Luckily, I ran into Captain Meezo as I was fleeing Mog’s wrath and, with the help of a massive T-Rex, we managed to subdue him. That’s probably the only reason I’m still alive to write this personal log haha.

I heard someone saying that Nyysa, the chief science officer, subdued him again later and I’m guessing that’s the only reason he hasn’t come looking for me again. I’ll have to remember to thank her next time I see her.

I have to admit that so far Captain Meezo is the most adventurous of all of the captains I've served with. He's also the least formal. I suppose those two tend to go hand in hand. Dad always taught me to have the utmost respect for your commanding officers and I'm not sure how forming a friendship with one affects that. I guess we'll just have to see what happens.

Speaking of dad, I have an early shift in the morning. What is it that he always used to say about getting up early? “Wake up early and tackle the day before it tackles you”? I think that’s right.
