Ramblings of a CEO on House Arrest

So I had a run in with an EPS conduit today, which made for an explosively good time, ha. Luckily, Dr.Hayes was able to fix the damage. The worst part though is I have to stay holed up relaxing for 12 hours. What the hell am I supposed to do for 12 hours?!

The other not so great result from today’s adventure is that a two inch chunk of hair got scorched off. Hayes kindly offered a solution to make it un-noticeable until he could regrow it, but I figured I could use a new look. If I wasn’t stuck in here for the next 12hrs, I’d go to the holodeck and see how some different hairstyle options might look on me. However, seeing as that's not an option without getting into further trouble, I’m just going to have to pick something and run with it.

On a different note, I really need to find a good drinking and general mischief buddy. Hayes seems like a good guy. His occasional quips of humor make me think he’d be fun to hang out with, but he’s stubborn as a rock and refuses to grab a drink with me. I think I can be as persistent as he is stubborn though, so perhaps one of these days.

The XO on the other hand, is not on my potential buddy list. Not that I typically hang out with command anyways, they tend to be pretty secluded, but he’s a total hard-ass. Which I suppose makes for a good XO, but I am 99% sure that he would not be up for getting into any sort of mischief.

Tyvok has potential. Pretty straight and narrow, a common trait for being a Vulcan. He’s an excellent computer specialist and works well under pressure, at least from what I’ve seen so far. I don’t know that a vulcan would really be into anything that I might consider fun, but who knows. We’ll see what happens.

I haven’t really met anyone else yet, except the Captain. He seems, well, like a Captain. Calm, cool, confident, well put together, commands authority. My initial impression is that he isn’t as unyielding as the XO, but I haven’t spent much time with him yet either.

Maybe I should spend less time working and more time meeting people. To be fair, I haven’t worked any overtime since my last run in with the XO. However, I do tend to just go to the gym or review schematics and specs in my quarters when I’m not working. Oh, speaking of specs, it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed the specs for an NX class ship and we are supposed to be going after the NX-09….

I think I’ve just figured out how to keep myself entertained for the duration of this house arrest sentence.

OK, house arrest plan:
Step 1: Sleep for 6hrs, ehhh, make it 8. Why not?
Step 2: Review NX class schematics and specs
Step 3: Haircut

Perfect. I guess I’d better get started with that 8hrs of sleep then. The sooner that’s done, the sooner I get to put my hands on those NX specs.
