Having been working my way through the crew's physicals, they are all appearing as a healthy bunch so far. Counselling though, are going to have their hands full. The Captain I have no concerns over, the usual ship launch paperwork and headaches that are associated with it. For the rest of the crew, I have one who is going to overwork herself into an accident, and many others have a pathological fear of sickbay that almost borders on paranoid. I am no expert in emotions, but there is one I would say that is undoubtedly the case.

They all pass muster on my end despite some reservations. This is Starfleet at its best, I feel. People very dedicated to their jobs, concern over their performance and actions. They want the very best for themselves. I do wonder if I should speak to the Captain about imposing a mandatory 'happy hour' for the senior staff every so often to allow them time to relax and get to know each other better outside of shift, rank and official capacities. At the end of it, is that really going to mean much? Ships, especially ones like this, designed for long-range, long term missions start acting like a family after too long. The quicker we get there, the better I feel for us all.

I wonder if I make this a matter of medical urgency, that the crew spend more time relaxing...I can overrule a lot of the 'red tape' associated with such ideas. Not something I am actively planning for, for anyone listening to this. Just a general musing of a Doctor who has had several long shifts and needs a cocktail and a handsome barman to flirt with. But I will save the rest for a future personal log.
