Personal History 2327; Gul D'Pan Ghemor met Maria Hollands on one of the colony worlds in the Cardassian/Bajoran neutral zone. D'Pan served as the planet's governor and after three years, the two married.

2348; Alissa was born within the Ghemor household on the day that her father Gul D'Pan Ghemor was killed in the Cardassian Federation War. Her family was evicted from the Command Quarters and transferred to in-laws Kritna farm 400 Kilometers outside of Cardassia City. However, her grandparents disapproved of their son's mongrel children and the family was forced to live in a shack while pulling sacks of Kritna root during harvest.

2358; Alissa was required to take the military comprehensive exam to determine her future career path during her 6 year conscription requirement.

2361 (13) Cardassian Command conscripted Alissa. Because she was a descendent of high-ranking officials, she was taken to the Cardassian Academy. Her aptitude scores were higher than her peers and she was placed in a program where the other classmates were considerably older. Courses were difficult and many discipline based courses were harsh and cruel.

2366 (18) Alissa graduated the Academy with a science commission. She was assigned to the CUV Jevonite science Galor vessel to monitor the Dozaria sector outside of Cardassian space. In 2370 the Jevonite was redeployed to Velos sector but were attacked by Masquis raiders, the crew were in critical condition with many being incapacitated. A Federation starship the USS Montana rescued the drifting vessel and transported the crew onto the Federation ship.

2368 (20) Alissa remained with the Federation and requested asylum to earth, she had been an outsider to most pure breed Cardassians and was treated poorly. When she arrived on Earth, she applied to Starfleet Academy with exceptional aptitude scores.

2372 (24) Alissa graduated the Academy, but because of the Dominion War and the animosity towards Cardassians, she was assigned to the Ni'Var Science Institute until the Dominion War ended.

2376 (28) Alissa was assigned to the USS Wayfarer because Starfleet Command believes the command is able to maintain order in spite of the animosity towards her species.
