Physical Description		Patrick has striking ginger hair thanks to his Irish heritage. It is usually the first thing people notice about him. The second thing that they notice is his piercing blue eyes. There is no denying that Patrick comes from a Celtic background, something he himself is incredibly proud of. Patrick stands at 6’2” and is broad shouldered. Because of his large stature, Patrick has often found himself in the middle of physical altercations. Not because he wanted to be involved, but because he has being attacked for being the ‘big guy’ that everyone wants to take down to prove how tough they are.

General Overview		Patrick is a more than capable officer with a number of years of experience under his belt. He is calm under pressure, resilient under the threat of attack, and steps up as a leader frequently. With that in mind, Patrick is extremely easy to get along with. He makes friends easily, and is ferociously loyal to his crew, his friends, and his family. Patrick has rarely let his superiors down throughout his Starfleet career and is considered a dependable officer.
Strengths & Weaknesses		+ Engineering knowledge thanks to his years as an engineer. + A natural born leader, and a fantastic conduit between the crew and the Captain. + Does not work in half measures. If he starts a job, he finishes it. - Can sometimes let his temper get the better of him, but these occasions are far and few between. - Tends to put his career before anything else. He has never had a long term girlfriend, but would like to get married one day.
Ambitions		Patrick would like to get married one day. He blames his drive and his career for not settling down sooner with someone, but knows that there is always time to meet someone in the future. Patrick wants to serve as XO with distinction, and tries to make his family and his commanding officer proud.
Hobbies & Interests		Patrick is an avid reader. A side effect of constantly reading the latest engineering manuals and research earlier in his career. Patrick enjoys practicing playing the Bodhrán drum. The Bodhrán is an Irish drum that is usually played with a quick tempo using a double sided beater made of bone. Patrick is not shy, and can often be found in the crew lounge playing the Bodhrán.

Personal History		Born in Dún Laoghaire in 2337, Patrick Healy grew up a happy child. His parents were always supportive of him throughout his childhood, and backed him with whatever decisions he made. In 2343 his sister Ciara came along, completing the family. Patrick and Ciara were close growing up, despite the 6 year age difference. In 2350, Patrick and Ciara were walking along the coast during a particularly bad storm. It was nothing new for them to do this. Ciara had always loved the sea, and always became excited at the sight of large waves. Without much warning, a wave enveloped the two of them and Ciara was dragged out into the sea. Seeing his 7 year old sister disappearing under the waves Patrick didn’t hesitate jumping into the cold water to save his sister. After a struggle with the waves, Patrick finally managed to get his sister to the shore. Ciara was not breathing, so the 13 year old Patrick began chest compressions and mouth to mouth resuscitation. After a couple of minutes, Ciara coughed up the salty seawater and took in some deep gasping breaths. Since that day the siblings were almost inseparable. Five years later, Patrick joined Starfleet Academy to train as an officer. Initially he found it hard being away from his family for so long. He was getting decent grades, but the homesickness of being away from Ireland and his family almost made him quit after the first six months. However, Ciara started visiting him regularly, and after the first year of study, Patrick settled into academy life. In 2359, Patrick graduated from the academy and was offered a place onboard the USS Macaron as an engineering officer. It was an exciting time for him, but it did come with its negatives. The Macron would be departing for a three-year mission in the beta-quadrant and would not be near Earth during that time. He promised Ciara he would send her video messages as often as he could. In 2363 Patrick transferred to the USS Crystal as its Assistant Chief Engineering Officer. Patrick was happier during this time because the USS Crystal was completely based around the same sector as Earth. This meant he could visit his family often. Patrick was promoted to Lieutenant and transferred to the USS Bracco in 2367 as its Chief Engineering Officer. He was becoming more serious about his career around this time, and was making great efforts to impress his superiors. When he was given the opportunity to take the bridge officer’s exam in 2369, Patrick jumped at the chance. Patrick was promoted to Lieutenant Commander in 2373 and transferred once again. This time he was posted on a starbase for the first time in his career. Deep Space Seven was an exciting opportunity, and Patrick made the most of being in charge of a starbase’s engineering department. He also served as DS7’s second officer during this time. In 2376, Patrick applied for the USS Wayfarer as its Executive Officer.
