Ambitions His only ambition at this time is to conduct himself in a manner expected of a Starfleet officer, and to impress his superior officers with his skills as a tactician and XO.
Hobbies & Interests Jonathan has very little hobbies. When he does have some down time from his work, he can be found in the ship’s gym or jogging in the holodeck.
He also enjoys reading holo-novels based around 22nd battles and skirmishes.

Personal History Jonathan was born and raised in a suburb within San Francisco, California. He had a normal childhood, and engaged well with his school teachers and made plenty of friends. Jonathan had a good relationship with his sister Jennifer, and spent a lot of time with her growing up in and around San Francisco. The two of them would often go walking around the city together from a relatively young age.

One winter, when Jonathan was only thirteen years old, he and his sister were walking along the seafront during a particularly stormy afternoon. Jonathan would often enjoy watching the waves crash onto the shore during storms. Suddenly a wave crashed onto the path that the siblings were standing on, and swept Jennifer out into the water. Knowing that Jennifer wasn’t a strong swimmer, Jonathan didn’t hesitate to jump in after his sister despite the dangers. Thankfully he managed to get his sister back to the shore and started chest compressions and mouth to mouth as soon as he realised Jennifer wasn’t breathing. Within moments she started coughing up the salty water and recovered. Jonathan and his sister became even closer after that day.

Growing up in and around ‘Frisco’, Jonathan had made the decision from a very early age that he wanted to join Starfleet. The city was always full of Academy cadets and personnel, and he had always thought that they looked so smart and so brave.

He joined the Academy at the age of 18 to study tactics and security, and graduated from Starfleet Academy at the age of 22. He had some of the most impressive results of his year, and graduated summa cum laude. Although he remained incredibly grounded and humble despite his achievements.

Jonathan applied for a handful of starship positions almost immediately, and was offered a post onboard the USS Solanke as a security and tactical officer. The only negative was that the Solanke would be setting off on a five-year deep space mission. Thinking about the positives and negatives and weighing up his other options, Jonathan finally accepted the posting.

After five years, the Solanke returned to Earth and allowed the crew to disembark on some much needed rest and relaxation. Jonathan felt that it was now the right time to move on with his career.

He applied for a posting onboard the USS Triumphant as the assistant Chief Tactical & Security officer. His application was successful and he served onboard the Triumphant for four years, earning commendations and merits along the way. He made some friends that he would cherish forever.

The USS Devonshire would be his next posting, a Norway-class ship that saw only small amounts of combat during Jonathan’s three years onboard. However, the CO was impressed enough by his service that he placed a permanent commendation on his record for exemplary service to ship and crew.

Captain Elias Jones approached Jonathan soon after and offered him the opportunity to come aboard the USS McTaggart as its second officer. The man had heard great things about the officer, and wanted Jonathan to be part of his command staff on the McTaggart. Jonathan accepted the offer and served Jones and the ship for five years. Jonathan was onboard the McTaggart for the entirety of the Dominion War. The McTaggart only saw open combat at the very end of the war, taking part of in the invasion of Cardassia. The ship was heavily damaged by the end of the engagement, but crew casualties were thankfully light. Despite Starfleet’s best efforts at salvaging the McTaggart, she was too badly damaged and was retired.

In 2376, an opportunity to join the crew of the USS Wayfarer as the Executive officer presented itself to him. This was a great opportunity to advance his career as an officer and a member of Starfleet, and an opportunity Jonathan grabbed with both hands.
