| Personal History | A name, all she had from her mother was a name. Born in 2346, Nyysa was orphaned at the age of four when a ship that she and her mother were traveling on was ambushed. Rescued by Starfleet, Nyysa was taken in by a scientist who happened to be on the ship that found her. Because of her dad’s work, she grew up on various outposts in Federations space. In 2360, she enrolled in the Denobulan Science Academy, kick-starting her post-secondary education. She had every intention of going into academia when the cold war broke out between the Federation and the Dominion in 2370. Not one to sit idly by, Nyysa applied, and was accepted to the fleet’s Officer Candidate School and was commissioned into Starfleet. As a specialist in quantum physics, she was assigned to ships and stations that studied the effects of the Bajoran wormhole, and ways to destabilize it, if necessary. |
